FS19 Platinum Expansion and the Platinum Edition FAQ
Both the expansion pack and the Platinum edition will be released on October 22, 2019.
The Expansion is only the DLC (for players that already owns FS19.) The Platinum Edition is both the DLC and the game, bundled together.
Both the Expansion and the Platinum Edition will be released on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
It’s €/$ 19.99 on both PC and Mac for the Expansion version.
A whole lot of Claas machinery, like the brand new Lexion 8900 combine harvester, the Arion, the Axion, and the Xerion tractors. For more information, see below.
I thinkthe Claas Platinum pack is one of the best DLCs from Giants Software ever. Yes, the Big Bud pack was great. And the FS2013 Titanium add-on was impressive, mainly because of all its CaseIH machinery and the Westbridge Hills map. It’s the share volume of the Claasthemed DLC that brings it on par with the previous best expansion packs, otherthan Claas being one of the most interesting, largest farming brands in existence.
Kudos to Giants for once again putting together a downloadable content pack that make our jaws drop. And a big thanks to Claas for greenlighting the inclusion of their impressive machinery into one of history’s best simulator games, which now becomes even better…

There's no shortage of cool harvesters. And although it's not mentioned yet officially, I hear some chatter about the Lexion too...

The Claas DLC has some really interesting equipment. Personally, I'm very excited for the Disco mowers and the Rollant combined baler and wrapper.

Many Cool Details
Claas isknown to be one of agriculture’s most innovative brands. It’s nice to see that manyof the real-world features have been included in the Farming Simulator models. One example is the Disco butterfly mowers. They can be retracted whenyou fold them for transport.
Anothercool feature is the Xerion cab. It can be rotated 180°, just like what’spossible with the real-life version of the mega-tractor.
And for the first time in FS history, Giants is using 3D tracks. It has been available earlier with certain mods, for example, one of the FS17 John Deere tractor mods from Custom Modding. But it’s a first for Giants Software, which previously has relied on normal maps for their tracked machinery.
No Map?
It has beena long-standing tradition that the main expansion packs (Gold, Titanium or Platinum)from Giants have had new maps included. In the FS 2013 Titanium DLC, playerscould enjoy the Westbridge Hills map, the FS 2015 Gold add-on introduced theSosnovka map, while the FS17 version included the South American inspired EstanciaLapacho map.
So far, there’s no sign of a new map bundled together with the Claas Platinum DLC. If this turns out to be the case, it’s the first time in many years that we don’t get a new map together with the machinery. I don’t think it’s a huge loss – there are so many great mod maps out there. Still, it’s always exciting to fire up a new Giants map to see what their talented mappers have been up to.
(Update July29, 2019) We’vejust learned that there will NOT be a new map included with the Claas DLC. Thiswas confirmed by Giants community coordinator O5-Chris on Discord.
Shoot! I was really hoping for a remakeof the Bjornholm FS15 map…
