FarmingSimulator 19 mods presentation: The (very helpful) Follow Me mod byDecker_MMIV.

If thereever will be a price for the most useful Farming Simulator addon, the Follow Memod is sure to be one of the front runners. Here's the elevator pitch:It allows you to control two or more vehicles simultaneously. In other words,it's like playing Follow the Leader, but for vehicles.

Quick Follow Me Guide

There has to be a lead vehicle for the mod to work. This can be the vehicle you're driving. Then, just drive the vehicle(s), that shall follow, close enough to the rear of the leader to pick up the trail. Now, press Right Ctrl + F on your keyboard to activate the following mechanism.

If youcan't activate Follow Me, try driving the follow-vehicle even closer. You canalso try driving the leading vehicle forward a few meters.

A vehicledriven by an AI worker can also be the leader. Just remember that it's best toset up all the followers before putting the artificial driver to work.

When you want to stop following the leader, just press Right Ctrl + F once more to disengage.

Set the Distance

It's wise to set a proper distance for the follower before you start driving. Or before you activate the worker or Courseplay. If you're in the vehicle that shall follow, this is done with Right Ctrl + W (closer) and Right Ctrl + S (further behind.)

It's also possible to adjust the distance from the lead vehicle. Turn around to look at the follower. Then press Right Shift + W or Right Shift + S to set the distance.

Note that it's doable to have the following vehicle driving ahead of the leader.

To the Sides

You canoffset the followers to the left or the right, as well. This is particularly handywhen you want a follower to chase a combine or a forage harvester. It can alsobe used for doing fieldwork faster, for example.

When inside the machine that shall follow, Right Ctrl + A offsets it to the left, while Right Ctrl + D does the trick for right side following.

When you press Right Ctrl + X now, the following vehicle will get back behind the leader. Pressing Right Ctrl + X once more, makes the follower switch to the opposite side.

To commandthe followers from the leading machine, just use the Right Shift buttoninstead of Right Ctrl.

• First, there's Right Shift + H - This makes the follower hold or resume following.

Decker_MMIV'sFollow Me addon is with me all the time. I can't play a new Farming Simulatorgame properly until it has been converted.

Oh, here’sa couple of tips:

1. Using the addon makes a dent in yourwallet. The driver’s need to get paid…
2. The addon does not control implements.You need to activate and lower them manually before putting the pulling vehiclein a following state.

Decker_MMIVhas just released an updated version of the mod. It has an added option forturning the collision detection sensor on or off (see the F1 Help menu.)The update also includes a fix for flashing lights and a small bug related tothe 1.5.1 Patch.
